What you need

What do you need?

A clean result starts not with applying the sticker, but with a clean, dry, and grease-free surface.

Have these ready before you start

  • Carimprasso brake caliper stickers
  • Degreaser or isopropyl alcohol cleaner
  • Clean microfibre cloth
  • Optionally masking tape to mark the position
  • A card or squeegee to press the sticker down
  • Patience and a dry, clean surface
Preparation

First: clean, cool, and dry

These three steps largely determine how clean and durable the sticker will look.

01

Make sure the caliper is cool

Never apply the sticker to a warm or hot brake caliper. Let the car cool down completely before you start.

01 — Cool surface
Do not apply to a hot caliper.
02

Clean the caliper thoroughly

Clean the caliper with degreaser or isopropyl alcohol. Remove dirt, grease, brake dust, and any old residue.

02 — Degrease
Clean with degreaser or alcohol.
03

Let it dry completely

Do not apply the sticker to a damp surface. Wait until the caliper is completely dry.

03 — Dry
Make sure the surface is fully dry.

How the transfer film works

The sticker consists of three layers: the paper backing, the sticker itself, and the transparent transfer film. Work calmly and always check that the logo is coming away correctly.

Press the film firmly

Use a card or squeegee and press the transfer film firmly over the logo.

02 Remove backing

Peel off the backing

Remove the paper backing slowly while the logo stays attached to the transfer film.

03 Place sticker

Apply to the caliper

Position the sticker carefully and press it down from the centre outward.

04 Remove film

Peel the film away

Remove the transfer film slowly at an angle. Then press the edges down firmly.

Important tips

Avoid these mistakes

The stickers are made for a sharp automotive look, but the surface and installation determine the final result.

  • Make sure the sticker is at room temperature. In warm weather, place the stickers in the fridge for 10 minutes before applying.
  • Do not apply the sticker to a warm caliper.
  • Do not apply to dust, grease, brake dust, or moisture.
  • Do not peel the sticker off multiple times to reposition it.
  • Do not use high-pressure washing or a car wash immediately after installation.
  • Do not apply to rough, damaged, or poorly painted calipers.
  • Always press the edges down firmly.
Durability

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I apply the stickers myself?

Yes, you can. As long as the caliper is clean, dry, and grease-free, you can easily apply the stickers yourself.

Can I reapply the sticker if it's crooked?

We advise against this. Peeling the sticker off can reduce the adhesive's effectiveness. Make sure you position it correctly before pressing it down for good.

Can I wash the car immediately after installation?

No, please wait at least 24 hours before washing the car or getting the caliper wet.

Are the stickers suitable for all brake calipers?

The stickers are suitable for smooth, clean, and dry surfaces. On rough, damaged, or heavily soiled calipers, adhesion may be reduced.

Do I need to paint my calipers first?

Not necessarily, but the result looks best on a smooth, clean caliper. On damaged or rough paint, the sticker may not bond as cleanly.

Can I use the stickers after painting my calipers?

Yes. The correct order is: paint the caliper in the desired colour, let it cure fully, then apply the sticker, and finally seal with clear coat. Follow the drying time of the paint used before applying the sticker.
